Unique Easter Basket Fillers
Non Candy Easter Basket Fillers that Kid’s Will Love
Easter is just around the corner. Each year it seems like I’m scrambling ( pun totally intended) to think of ideas for Easter Baskets. If you’re like me and have exhausted the basic fillers: candy, chalk, bubbles, jump ropes, coloring books, kites, socks, and rainboots, then here are some unique ideas (with Amazon links) for both boys and girls that have been hits with my 4 children.

Want a fun activity that will keep your kids engaged. These simple brain teasers are easy to take anywhere. These are a low cost and with a pack of 100 it will last for a long time. So go ahead and fold away with foldology! Best for ages 8+
My children love these books! They even have an adorable Easter themed sticker books. Contrary to the name there is no paint involved, so they are mess free and keep children entertained for hours, especially on long car rides.
Balance Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones
Kids and parents alike will adore these Balance Stepping Stones that can be brought indoors or outdoors. With non-skid grips they are a safe and fun way for children to work on coordination and balance while getting their energy out as they leap and hop from stone to stone. You’ll love that they easily store away when not in use.
Reusable Water Balloons
Thankfully, gone are the days of filling water balloon after water balloon, only to have your children pop them them in a matter of minutes. Introducing reusable water balloons, which are super easy to fill, even my littlest can do it effortlessly. The up front cost is a little pricey, but they last all summer long. I love that my children have spent countless hours playing with them independently. Highly recommend getting the 18 pack with the draw string sack to keep them organized. If you have multiple children these are easy to divide equally for their individual baskets.
Aerobie Pro Frisbee
Two years ago these frisbees were a big hit in our Easter baskets. These lightweight frisbees are the best, even my 18 month old could play. We love to use them in the pool and to create our own frisbee golf course in the backyard or while camping.
One of the newest and fastest growing outdoor toys is the ZipString, as featured on Shark Tank. It’s the perfect pocket-size Easter basket filler, which is easy to use both indoors or outdoors. My kid’s love creating new tricks and fun games with this amazing gravity defying toy. If you’ve never heard of it, check out this video about how it all works. It’s bound to be one of the best additions to your children’s Easer basket this year. Currently on sale for Easter, by the double pack here.
Games
These are my favorite compact games, about the size of a deck of cards, that everyone can enjoy, including parents. They are quick playing games that travel and store well. Many of these games work on math and cognitive skills, not to mention they are so much fun.
Sleeping Queens, Spot It, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, Tenzi, and Blink and Kanoodle .
Bike Lights
With glimpses of the warmer weather ahead in Michigan, my children have been riding bikes nonstop. You’ll love that these bike lights extend play on summer nights, especially if you camp or live in a neighborhood. They come in a variety of colors as you can see from the picture of a night bike ride we enjoyed last summer.
My 3 year old son is obsessed with these. I often have a stash in my purse for my kids when we’re on the go. Similar size as LEGO, they foster creativity and are enjoyed by all my children (ages 3-9).
The FlexTrack 5000 is ready to go right out of the box, with no complicated setup! It’s as easy to pack up and store in small spaces. With 15 feet of track for racing and looping, it will be one of your child’s favorite new toys. Are you ready to roll?
Children’s Devotional/Bibles/Books
Including a devotional, children’s Bible, or Easter book puts the focus on the reason we celebrate, Jesus’ resurrection. I highly recommend these books, they are the ones I reach for time and time again. Indescribable, The Jesus Storybook Bible, and God Gave Us Easter.
Crafts
These stain glass window art clings by Joy of Coloring have been popular, especially with my daughter, in the last couple weeks. They include 5 squeeze paint and 8 window clings. Personally, I think the mandalas are quite pretty hanging in our windows.
Modeling Clay | Ages 4+
Air dry clay can help promote creativity and sensory development. This set of clay includes a tutorial book with ideas of what to build when you first begin. I love the no mess clay, which is pliable.
