Directions on How to Build Drip Castles
First be aware of your location, since tides and waves can quickly destroy all your hard work. Take a minute and plan the location of your castle, moat or bridges.
Find the sweet spot on the edge of the water line where the sand is wet, but firm and not bombarded by waves.
Grab a mixture of sand and water with a consistency that can easily drop through your fingers or hand. There is no wrong method. Let it slowly drip through your fingertips, or make a fist with thumb up and let it drip out the bottom of your closed fist.
Be creative. Use sticks or fishing line for structure. Add moats, bridges, towers and turrets to your castle. Then finish it off by decorating with feathers, shells, drift wood and rocks.
