As spring quickly approaches, it’s the perfect time to start making some unforgettable memories and spring time traditions together. To kick off the spring season I created a free printable spring bucket list. We chose outdoor activities that are the epitome of spring time fun from splashing and dancing in the rain to bike riding and chasing butterflies. Spring can be a busy season with sports starting up so that is why it’s crucial to be intentional about spending precious days together. This list has a good balance of both fun day trip adventures, relaxing activities like reading outside and an outdoor picnic, as well as some simple activities like drawing with chalk.

ACTIVITY IDEAS

Explore your local parks, have a picnic, hike new trails, stop at a farmers market, visit a petting farm or walk through a butterfly garden for fun adventures to break up the monotony of the week. Additionally make time to explore locally on the weekend. We especially love to meet up with friends to check out and explore nearby towns, parks, nature centers and area attractions. For the last 10 years, our family has planted and grown a vegetable garden. It has helped my children become big veggie eaters and inspired us to get outside more.

Recently we decided to plant a cut flower garden. This simple activities has brought us so much joy as we watch the magic of nurturing tiny seeds into gorgeous blooms. Involving your children throughout the process from the very first planting to harvesting and arranging flowers in a vase for the home is educational. Do you have regular game nights in your family? If not, don’t wait… this is such a fun tradition to begin. Maybe even purchase a fun yard game to play outside to help your family bond together, learn turn taking and work on cognitive skills.
